Teacher Grants

Money raised each year helps go to support wonderful school projects.  See this year's grant winners projects at the Stockton Earth Day Festival.

Our grant program was established in honor of Fran Abbott. Fran was a staunch protector of the environment and was dedicated to mentoring young people throughout San Joaquin County. Fran lived her life enthusiastically and to its fullest prior to experiencing a short period of illness that preceded her death on March 4, 2008. As tribute to her dedication and tireless efforts in mentoring young people, the Annual Earth Day Festival planning committee initiated this grant program in her name for students and teachers to promote environmental education in schools throughout our community.
